haha, finally decided to go work in dad's office; the damn recruitment agencies and the pple at a very nice bakery which has an outlet at the national library hadnt bothered to give me a bloody phone call even after my repeated calls to them. so, it brings me to my topic today: rejecting pple.
we often get rejected in everyday life; whether it is in a romantic point of view, where a girl rejects a boy or vice versa, or in a commercial sense of view, where the company rejects an applicant. so, what is the so-called "proper" way to reject someone? if u ask me, there's no qualms abt it, face-to-face always works, whether in a romantic r/s or in a commerical sense. i mean, come on, sure, it's gonna wrench yr heart and make u feel so bad and fcuked u and watever, but as the saying goes, "chang tong bu ru duan tong" (pls use yr chinese pinyin skills here; the stupid blogger doesnt support chinese characters).
take for example, my job searchs. i had signed wif 2 places- one, a recruitment agency wif a posh office in a shopping mall downtown which shares the same name as my school, and two, a cafe at national library. after two weeks of inactivity since my initial visit to the cafe, i finally rang the cafe up. and to think that on my visit, they promised me a pt job- they were so confident and everything. here's how e conv went.
Me:" is this Mr xxx from XXX cafe?"
X:"Yes, may i noe who's this?"
Me, slightly bothered:"ITs nick, the guy whom u interviewed on tuesday two weeks ago?"
X:feigns ignorance, the dim-witted fool:"oh yea, how can i help u?"
Me, ready to strangle the person any time now:"Well, so how's my part time job thing goin? Do i have a chance or something?"
X, after a few moments of silence:"Oh, i'm sorry, but i havent fitted u into my schedule yet!"
Me, pissed off alr:"Wat! It's 2 weeks and u havent got me into the schedule yet? I remember saying that u would call me in a few days, and i havent heard from u at all for the past 2 weeks!"
X:"Oh really, i must have forgotten!"
Me:"u forgotten? hello, is this the way u do business? can u accept that if yr waiters forgot to collect the cash from the customer? wat's this? i'm not joking with u or anything u noe, its realli ridiculous!"
And i slammed the phone down. oh wells, some might say that i was too harsh and had a bad temper, but i noe wat i did was well, not uncalled for. wat do u think? |

im hoping that my post gets uploaded successfully now. had a really enjoyable time uploading my blog last night. i was happily typing away my post, then when i clicked publish post, the page could not be displayed. and being the impatient person i usually am, (as said by one of my gf), i slammed my notebook's screen. hard down. im sure u dont wan to noe wat happened later on. did a thorough cleaning of my room today. all the junk, all the rubbish in the form of sec sch textbooks (:P), all the files and worksheets are in nice IKEA cardboard boxes now. ahaha, chatting with my "gd frien" on the phone now, and she's like, saying how come i can multitask de, and that i shldnt be talkin on the phone for so long, otherwise i kena radiation to the brain. lol!! dont worrie lar, eve, i wont kena so easily de..
had came across my report book while i was re-arranging my books. woah, didnt noe i was so bad last time- during sec 1, i was like, had a fair conduct was failing every single subject, with the exception of chinese and maths. lol. and to think im writing a novel now. hehe.
alright. its a pretty long post. shall stop now.

after a particularly disastrous cma exam, i'm glad to sae that all of my exams are over! woo-hoo! time to celebrate my month long holiday!! :) enuff abt schwork; next sem, its season 2 already! those of u who r close to me, u shld noe wat i mean by that, ;) well, not realli i nthe mood to blog today, so i shall end off with a personality quiz. cheers!

woah. long time since i last blogged- nine days, to be in fact. well, im smack in the middle of my FYEs right now, but i got study one de hor, if not i wont be blogging right now, would i? :p
jus went thru a realli down period, and mind u, it was before my exams lar. thank goodness for R, she sort of cheered me up.. i noe that im foolish to be doin so, but then again, like u said, the heart cannot be controlled completely by one's mind. at least, thats what i think she said. dont worrie, i'll be ok. i wont like, jump down from a twenty storey building. nah, i wont. i will probably slash my own wrists or sth.
enuff talk abt all these morbid stuff. im gonna take up dragon boating!! yup, thin and lanky old me have signed up for a dragon boating course, starting from sept 3!! hehe, that means i'll miss the proj superstar audiotions this yr round. oh well. guess im jus not fated for the entertainment world ba.
and im still finding a part time job that has really flexible timing, cos im involved in the IMF meet. and i wan a le coq sportif bag. the stupid salesperson at cathay told me the new collection was coming out during sept, but i see so many pple holding it le. and i wan a pair of bumblebee shades!! haha, so many things, so little money. *sigh

a short update on my life:
Friday: nth much, caught an episode of 'Ghost Whisperer'. VERy NICE!! dont be put off by the show, its actcually not a horror drama serial, but its actually very touching and heartwarming. abt this gal who could talk to ghosts and spirits and help all these souls to finish up whatever 'business' they have on earth, before they can 'move on to their next stage'. jennifer love hewitt was pretty gd in that show after a brief absence since 'Party of Five', so go check it out! every friday, channel 5, 10pm.
Saturday: being very free ystd, (and not in the mood for any more darn revision), i decided to go canoe-ing with my dad. yeap, i finally put away all my feelings and went for a rather nice afternoon canoe-ing with him at macritchie reservoir park. mind u, our r/s isnt that gd always, i usually end up quarreling with him 9 times out of 10 times we talk, :x after that, went home to shower, r&r and change, before meeting E & G at their hotel room at night to watch the fireworks. and omigod, it was really beautiful!! and since their room was at the 23rd floor, the view was simply superb. forgotten to bring my digicam, or else would have took photos. heck, even a video! had some DRINKS at the Long bar @ raffles hotel til abt midnight then i went home. woke up today with flu and a sore back. -_-' oh wells, looks like i have to postpone my revision today again, just not in e mood for any more revision! and its jus one week before my FYEs start. *shudders

haha. despite the fact that the exams are jus around the corner, and i haven started revising yet, i decided to head out for an evening with Lei. was supposed to go see fireworks live, but somehow, our vintage point at outside marina square was horribly wrong, so didnt manage to see any darn thing. oh wells. at least we got to go kbox and sing our hearts out. and we both do a mean rendition of Lee Sheng Jie's 'Ni Na me ai ta'. :)
